Mr. Ashby joined IndiGo in August 2005 as the Chief Executive Officer and brings 20 years of airline experience to the role. During his career Mr. Ashby has managed various aspects of airline operations including mergers and acquisitions, marketing, operations, revenue management, alliances, information technology, labour negotiations, treasury and financial planning.
Prior to joining IndiGo Mr. Ashby was Executive Vice President – Marketing & Planning for US Airways and was responsible for the airline’s revenue generation and the operations of the US Airways Express Division. Mr. Ashby was also the company’s representative to the Star Alliance management board. Previously Mr. Ashby worked for Delta Airlines as Vice President – Marketing Development and was responsible for Network Planning, Pricing, Revenue Management and Alliances. Prior to joining Delta he worked for United Airlines in a series of financial positions including Treasurer and Vice President – Financial Planning and Analysis.
Mr. Ashby holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Master of Science in Operations Research from Stanford University.
