This year, Annon Equestrian Center is offering a one week horse-riding camp. Our course will cove everything from basic horse care and riding to classes on horse first-aid and nutrition. We teach hands-on riding as well as learning in the classroom. Our students will learn such things as caring for your own horse, grooming and bathing horses, basic horse care and barn management, working with the horse on the ground, basic riding techniques, as well as more advanced work such as maneuvering around obstacle courses.
This will be a full 5˝ days of riding and general horse experience. Days start at 9am and end at 5pm. Half days are also available for a reduced price and start at 9am and end at 1pm. At the end of the week we will teach the kids how to get ready for a horse show, which they will put on for the parents on Saturday.
We are offering the course to kids ages 5 and up. We will teach groups based on age level and/or experience to fit everyone's needs. Beginning riders will be able to attain a basic knowledge of riding while the experienced riders will further their riding abilities.
